This small park in the heart of Siasconset Village has benches and picnic tables where you can enjoy a break from your ‘Sconset strolls, meet with friends, or enjoy a summer picnic.  Nantucket Conservation Foundation partnered with the Siasconset Civic Assn. to plant pollinator gardens with native plantings. This park is steps from the ‘Sconset Footbridge and from the entry to the ‘Sconset Bluff Walk.
Just a few blocks from the heart of downtown Nantucket is Lily Pond Park, a Nantucket Land Bank property. There is parking for 4 or 5 vehicles at the main entrance at 17 North Liberty Street. Another entrance to Lily Pond Park can be found at 36 Lily Street. At each entrance is a lawn and sitting area for picnics and birdwatching. Most of this protected area is a wetland – a century ago, this area was actually a pond, with boats and a fulling mill. There is a network of boardwalks that enables visitors to walk through the wetland without getting wet or impacting the fragile ecosystem. This property plays an important role in the island’s local water cycle and is a habitat for many plants and animals.
You can enjoy a Nantucket Island park while your four-legged friends run and play unleashed.  There is an area for large dogs and a separate area for small dogs, fenced in and surrounded by a pitch pine forest.  A single track trail leads through the woods near the enclosures if you want to take a walk with your dog.  The Nantucket Land Bank Dog Park is located at 5 Miacomet Road and is open from dawn to dusk, year-round.
